Tynecastle dump City out of Cup

CITY's Howat passed up a good chance in the tenth minute of this Image Printers Cup, second round tie.

Then Moonie knocked the ball across the face of goal and Wilson headed past at the far post.

Tynecastle went close when Arthur squared to McCormack but he headed over the bar. The home side passed up a good chance when Arthur squared the ball to McCormack but he hit a very tame shot at Stobie.

The home side took the lead in the 74th minute when McIntosh sent a high cross into the box and McCormack nipped in to head past Stobie. Two minutes later McCormack headed the ball back across goal for Williams to head in.

City were given a chance to pull a goal back when Moonie's cross was not dealt with but Wilson shot wide from a good position. Five minutes from time Scott tripped McIntosh in the box and Aird converted from the spot to seal the tie.
