Toshack will quit tomorrow

John Toshack is expected to announce his decision to step down after nearly six years as Wales manager at a press conference tomorrow afternoon.

The 61-year-old will appear before the media alongside Football Association of Wales president Phil Pritchard and chief executive Jonathan Ford.

It is understood the former Real Madrid boss feels he has taken taken the side as far as he can. The only question now appears to be whether he will leave the post before or after the double-header against Bulgaria and Switzerland next month.

Former Wales internationals Ryan Giggs, Chris Coleman and Mark Bowen are among names being mentioned along with Under-21s coach Brian Flynn, while John Hartson has already thrown his hat into the ring.
