Title decider takes place at Prestwick

BOWLS: Prestwick will host the Scottish Premiership League title decider against Premier sections winners Blantyre and Lanarkshire today.

Blantyre ended the hopes of East Lothian, outpointing the defending champions by a single point. It was a similar scenario for Lanarkshire, who secured a last match share of the spoils at 67 each with Prestwick which saw them pip West Lothian.

Tomorrow, eight teams will battle it out for a place in the Scottish Team Championships semi-finals at Garioch and Falkirk on 7 March.

Defending champions Turriff are joined by former winners Bainfield, East Lothian, Aberdeen, Cumbernauld and Auchinleck. In the opposite half of the draw, 2003 winners Cumbernauld and 2006 champions Auchinleck are favourites for the other semi-final berth against Blantyre and Lanarkshire respectively.
