Third Division: Stranraer hit back to keep top spot

Annan went ahead when Queen of the South striker Sean O'Connor marked the start of his second loan spell by opening the scoring right on half-time when he bundled the ball in.

Former Stranraer striker Ian Harty doubled the lead three minutes after the restart when he scored from close range, and it looked like Harry Cairney's side were heading for third place until two goals in the last 14 minutes restored parity.

Sean Winter started the recovery when he knocked the ball home at the back post and substitute Michael Moore grabbed a leveller six minutes later.

Albion Rovers made it five wins in six games to move level on points with Stranraer, thanks to substitute Chris Hamilton's goal in their 1-0 win over Queen's Park at Hampden.

It was a third defeat in four games for Queen's Park and they were left regretting missed chances by Tony Quinn and Paul Harkins before Hamilton scored.

Arbroath moved third after winning 4-0 in their derby with Montrose to secure their first win in four attempts against their neighbours this season. Striker Steven Doris scored a hat-trick, with his first goal coming from the penalty spot after he had been fouled by Sean Crichton. Doris added two goals in the second-half before player manager Paul Sheerin added a fourth.

Berwick moved back into fourth place after winning for the first time in seven games, 2-1 against visitors Clyde. The bottom side took the lead just after the hour mark when defender Alan Lithgow fired in from 25 yards, but Ian Little headed in an equaliser with 12 minutes left.

Two minutes later, Lithgow was red-carded for handling in the box, with Paul Currie knocking in the resultant penalty.

Elgin made it four wins in five games when they defeated hosts East Stirling 2-0 with goals from Jake Inglis and Craig Frizzell.
