Third Division round-up: Annan overcome Peterhead

Queen's Park made light work of the Stranraer challenge.

Paul McGinn set up Jamie Longworth to open the scoring in 34 minutes with a left-foot shot. Michael Daly headed home the clincher just after the break.

Berwick Rangers 4, East Stirling 2

Paul Currie netted from the spot in nine minutes and Damon Gray made it 2-0 just after the break. Steven Jackson was sent off for East Stirling before Fraser McLaren made it 3-0. The visitors pulled two back before Currie completed the scoring.

Alloa Athletic 2, Clyde 2

John Sweeney's long-range strike put Clyde ahead in 21 minutes, but Ryan McCord levelled ten minutes later. Mark Docherty put the hosts ahead on the hour mark, but on 80 minutes Scott Bain was sent off and Sweeney netted from the spot.

Montrose 3, Elgin City 0

Martin Boyle got his first of the day in 11 minutes and John Crawford set up Boyle's second which came 25 minutes later.

Crawford then completed the scoring five minutes after the restart from the penalty spot.

Peterhead 2, Annan Athletic 3

The hosts took an eighth-minute lead through Bryan Deasley but Jordan McKechnie equalised ten minutes later. Rory McAllister put Peterhead back in front but McKechnie equalised minutes later before Ian Harty clinched the win from the spot.
