THIRD DIVISION PREVIEW

WITH Livingston having all but sewn up the Third Division title, the focus is now on which sides can clinch a play-off place. Forfar and East Stirling look to have ensured their presence in the end-of-season event but the last place could go to any one of three teams.

Two of them, Albion Rovers and Queen's Park, do battle this afternoon at Cliftonhill in part one of a double- header. The two sides will reconvene at Hampden on Tuesday, and the Wee Rovers will feel that they need to take all six points to retain hope of winning promotion to the Second Division.

Queen's Park enjoy a four-point gap over Albion, but are only a single point ahead of Berwick Rangers, who are also fighting for that final play-off spot. With their closest rivals set to meet next weekend, Queens will feel that their destiny is in their own hands, especially with Berwick having to travel to Livingston this afternoon.

Gardner Spiers' side have enjoyed a good second half of the season that has seen them pick up 28 points from their 15 games since the turn of the year, and key to that success has been their away form.
