The Anorak: In-form Orient the banker bet at 10-11

LOWER league teams often find that cup heroics can affect league form, but Leyton Orient, under the brilliant stewardship of Russell Slade, are having none of the 'after the Lord Mayor's show' experience. They proved this after their FA Cup draw with Arsenal by winning their next two games 2-0 and, although they eventually capitulated at the Emirates, remain on the longest unbeaten league run in England.

They must be confident of maintaining that form today against Paul Dickov's Oldham. The Latics are winless in seven and have shipped 11 goals in their last three games, so why Hills and Scotbet insist on laying the flying O's at a shade of odds-on is beyond me. Get on the banker bet - Leyton Orient at 10-11.

They say never go back to your old club, but Darren Ferguson seems to be the exception to the rule. Peterborough have been in fine form since he replaced Gary Johnson and, at 8-11, take them to beat Carlisle. Hull are good on the road and can beat injury-hit Coventry at 7-4 with Hills, and although this column is loath to tip skinny-priced teams Morton at 1-2 should deal another blow to Stirling Albion's survival quest.
