The anorak: Easy Tigers, as Hull look way too good for Preston at 8-13

Hull city are confidently put up as the banker bet this weekend. Being the anorak-type I am, I stayed up after midnight to watch the Football League Show, and was very impressed by the Tigers who - under new ownership - spent £2m on Aaron McLean and Matt Fryatt, and the pair duly took Scunthorpe apart in a 5-1 away romp.

Perma-tan boss Phil Brown returns to the scene of his singing-on-the-pitch crime, with a a severly demoralised Preston side, who were humbled 4-0 at home by Bristol City last weekend and are becoming adrift at the bottom. Things won't improve at the KC today and the advice is to lump on Hull at 8-13 with Scotbet and Hills

For the Yankee, add Millwall to beat Sheffield United (6-4); Leyton Orient to beat Bristol Rovers (8-11) and West Brom to beat West Ham at 11-10. Any odds against Carlos Tevez as anytime scorer in the Manchester derby should also be snapped up. United's defence looked terrible without Rio Ferdinand, and he again sits this one out.
