Tennis: Millie aiming for the semis

Capital tennis ace Millie Stretton's fine run at the AEGON Tennis Europe event continues apace at Craiglockhart.

The Blackhall teenager will later today attempt to gain a place in the semi-final of the under-14 girls singles after a resounding 6-1, 6-1 victory over fellow Briton Eden Richardson. Millie is also in doubles action, partnering Zoe Douglas against Ireland's Emily Beatty and Lucy Octave.

The under-18 girls singles is also proving productive for home hopes with Scots Maia Lumsden and Alice Keddie due in action today against, respectively, Walis Vitis (France) and Georgie Craven (Britain).
