Taiwan player claims Cameron Corbett Vase

HADDINGTON'S Hao Sheng Hsu claimed his first national title in Scotland last night with a play-off victory in the weather-shortened Cameron Corbett Vase at Haggs Castle in Glasgow.

The 19-year-old from Taiwan, who is an overseas member of the East Lothian club, edged out Royal Aberdeen's Scott Larkin at the second extra-hole after both players had finished locked at the head of the leaderboard with one-under aggregates of 215.

The scheduled four rounds were cut to three due to heavy rain and strong winds and Hsu closed with a level-par 72 while Larkin hit a 71 to tie for top spot.

Greg Nicholson, Scott Crichton, Jamie MacKay and former Scottish Boys' champion James White finished in a share of third on 217.
