Stirling v Aberdeen for university title

STIRLING and Aberdeen, the two top seeds, meet in today's final of the Scottish Universities Championship at Moray, where the Central Scotland campus are probably slight favourites.

In yesterday's semi-finals at the Lossiemouth course, Stirling beat St Andrews 10-5 while Aberdeen were 10-4 victors against the University of Highlands and Islands.

Bobby Rushford, runner-up in the individual championship at the same venue earlier in the week, is spearheading a strong Stirling side that also includes former Scottish Boys' Stroke-play champion Jack McDonald.

But, having already accounted for Edinburgh earlier in the campaign, Aberdeen will certainly prove no pushovers in the title showdown.

Stirling have already claimed the women's crown with a 2-1 success over St Andrews.
