Squash: Alan takes heart

Edinburgh's Alan Clyne was beaten but not disgraced by the world's top squash player at the British Grand Prix in Manchester.

The 24-year-old faced Egypt's Ramy Ashour after battling through qualifying and a marathon first-round match. Perhaps inevitably, Clyne lost 5-11, 7-11, 4-11, but the experience of pitting wits with the world No.?1 should benefit him at next month's Commonwealth Games in Delhi and December's World Open in Saudi Arabia.
