Speedway: Monarchs prices frozen in fan drive

Edinburgh MONARCHS bosses today announced that, as promised, they have pegged admission prices for the new speedway season at
Armadale at last season’s levels in a bid to encourage more fans to come on Friday nights.

Club chairman Alex Harkess said: “We are aware of the need to attract more younger supporters to the speedway, so we have extended the age range for one of our child pricing strands.

“Teenagers between 16 and 18 will now be admitted for just £4 if they use our advanced online ticketing system and we hope this will encourage more young people to spend their Friday night at the speedway.

“We have also made a
reduction to all prices on our advance system.”

Online prices are: Adults £14, Seniors £11, students £11, children 12-18 £4, children under 12 £1. Stadium gate prices are: Adults £16, Seniors £13,
students £13, children 12-18 £6, children under 12 £2.

Monarchs open their 2013 campaign on Friday, March 29 with a challenge fixture against Berwick Bandits, but No. 1 rider Craig Cook and teammate Theo
Pijper get their first taste of action this weekend in the Ben Fund Bonanza meeting at Berwick, which starts at 6.30pm and is held in aid of the Speedway Riders Benevolent Fund.
