Spartans upbeat for replay

SPARTANS JUNIORS boss David Cowan is sure his young team will have learned from last weekend's 3-3 draw as they take on Ballingry Rovers in a Emirates Junior Cup first-round replay tomorrow.

Spartans came close to knocking out the Premier League leaders and Cowan insisted: "Last week was part of a learning curve for some of our players. Against bigger sides in a competition like this it's said you only get one chance at knocking them out. That may be so, but we're going there to finish the job we almost completed last Saturday.

"We had enough chances to win more than one game then and, if we can create the same number this week ,then we'll do even better. Ballingry are a very good side but we have the players to finish the job."
