Sole told by Edinburgh Accies to lace up his boots

ALMOST 20 years to the day after his dad, David, captained Scotland to a grand slam victory over England, Jamie Sole will make his debut for Edinburgh Accies against Currie in a Scottish Cup second-round tie at Malleny Park tonight.

Sole lines up at full-back while Accies also blood Tom Steven, a strong-running centre who has been turning out for Edinburgh under-18s.

The youngsters get their chance due to injuries suffered by experienced backs Stuart Moffat and Gavin Douglas and Accies will be hoping to repeat their feat of three years ago when they knocked Currie out of the tournament on their way to the final.
