Snooker: Roarty faces Ritchie in bid for final spot

Bonnyrigg's Scott Roarty bids to secure his place in the final of the East of Scotland Junior Snooker Championship when he takes on Musselburgh's Greg Ritchie tomorrow night at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange.

Roarty defeated Edinburgh's Steven Dick in the last round and will go in to the match slight favourite. Ritchie won a gripping encounter against Auchterarder's Blaine Hendry which was played in front of Blaine's father, seven-times World Snooker Champion and legend of the green baize, Stephen Hendry.

Ritchie came from 2-1 behind to win a last frame decider on the black, after Hendry potted the final black to tie the scores only to go in-off in the middle bag to hand Ritchie the match.
