Snooker: Muir secures another title

Musselburgh schoolboy Ross Muir came from 3-1 behind to defeat the fast-improving Jamie Toal of Glasgow to win Event 4 of the Under-16 Snooker Series sponsored by JMConservatories.co.uk at The Creamery in Falkirk.

Toal, who was searching for his first under-16 title, had potted frame ball in the fifth frame and looked on course for victory, however the white went in-off and Muir made an excellent comeback to win three frames in a row to secure the title.

Earlier, Muir had defeated Dylan Craig of Glasgow 3-1 in the semi-finals whilst Toal defeated Clydebank's Joseph McLaren by the same score.

Muir has now won the last three under-16 events and holds a comfortable lead in the race to be the No.?1 ranked player at the end of the season, with only two events remaining.
