Snooker: Leslie books quarters slot

Bonnyrigg's Michael Leslie wasted little time in securing the last remaining place in the quarter-finals of the East of Scotland Snooker Championship with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Edinburgh's John Williamson at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange.

Leslie won a close opening frame after Williamson missed a difficult black down the side cushion before Leslie potted the black for the frame. Leslie then went on to make a 66 break in the second frame before closing out the last frame comfortably to secure a quarter-final tie with Perth's Bobby Cruickshanks on Friday night.

Defending Champion Eden Sharav gets the quarter-finals under way tonight when he plays Penicuik's Michael Gallacher at 7pm. All quarter-final matches are over the best of seven frames in The Matchroom at the Corn Exchange.
