Skycaddie bound for Whitekirk

TOURNAMENT golf returns to Whitekirk tomorrow for the first time in four years when the East Lothian course stages the opening Tartan Tour Order of Merit event of the season.

The Skycaddie Challenge is a pro-only event over 36 holes and is the first of its kind at Whitekirk since it hosted a PGA EuroPro Tour event in 2007.

Greig Hutcheon, last year's Order of Merit winner, heads the field, which also includes Colin Gillies, who is 2500 short of becoming the first player on the Tartan Tour to amass 500,000 in earnings.

Also playing tomorrow and Wednesday are European Senior Tour duo Andrew Oldcorn and Fraser Mann as well as Stephen McAllister, who is preparing for his tilt at the over-50s circuit next year.
