Shinty: Ross hits four to see off Newtonmore

A four-goal masterclass from Kingussie's Ronald Ross downed Newtonmore 4-3 on Saturday and sent Kings into the Mactavish Cup last four.

Despite trailing 3-1, Kings clinched the victory in extra time.

"People were saying Newtonmore would walk all over us because we have a young side but I think this result proved that we can still challenge for the major honours while going through a transition period," said Ross.

In the Strathdearn Cup, Skye beat Lewis 18-0 in one of the biggest Cup scores for decades.
