Shinty: Cup experts Inveraray must pick up vital points

INVERARY could complete a bittersweet double of Camanachd Cup glory followed by relegation but today could be a turning point in their 2011 season.

Renowned for being a great Cup side, the Argyll outfit have defied their own inconsistent league form to reach the semi-final of the Camanachd Cup. However, they are far from safe in the Premier League and today's clash with Glenurquhart could go a long way to saving face. The Winterton Park side are in the pack of three teams hovering just above Glenorchy, with two teams set to go down. Should they gain two points today, that would hand them a major lifeline. Inveraray will have to do without Nicholas Crawford after the youngster fractured his skull last weekend and faces a lengthy spell out of the game.
