Sevens heaven for Fox Covert in BoS finals

EDINBURGH primary school Fox Covert are celebrating their success at the national finals of the 2010 Bank of Scotland Primary Soccer Sevens.

Around 80 school children from all over Scotland attended the finals at Toryglen Regional Football Centre in Glasgow after progressing from their regional events – which were attended by more than 300 schools nationwide – and the two teams who qualified from the East Region were the Royal High Primary School and Fox Covert.

All eight teams were split into two groups, the winners of each section then played in the final game with the other corresponding sides playing off to determine their final places. Fox Covert ended as the most successful team winning a nerve-wracking penalty shoot-out 4-3 over Calderwood (Glasgow).
