Seeds all set for success

The annual Ashaway junior Christmas badminton tournament gets underway at Meadowbank tomorrow with events at under-17 and under-13 level.

Royal High student Heather MacPherson is favourite to lift all three under-17 titles while Fraser Whillans (Preston Lodge) is expected to be heavily involved in the boys' and mixed events.

Under-17 events: Boys' Singles: 1, Fraser Whillans (Longniddry; Preston Lodge HS); 2, Graham Pettigrew (Linlithgow; Stewart's-Melville College). Girls' Singles: 1, Heather MacPherson (Davidson's Mains; The Royal HIgh School); 2, Hannah Wade (Bathgate; St Kentigern's Academy).
