The Angus derby ended all square as both sides continue to look like early promotion candidates.

Ex-Brechin man Chris Templeman headed Forfar ahead on the hour mark, with Brechin levelling through substitute Charlie King after 77.

Livingston 2, Airdrie United 1

Livingston came from behind to beat Airdrie United at Almondvale.

Scott Gemmill put Airdrie ahead in five minutes, but Iain Russell scrambled home an equaliser 20 minutes later. Sub Raffaele De Vita lashed in the winner in the 73rd minute.

Stenhousemuir 0, Alloa Athletic 1

Bryan Prunty got the only goal as Alloa got a deserved three points from their visit to Ochilview.

Gary Thom's poorly-judged header was intercepted by the Wasps' striker and Prunty calmly slotted past Ally Brown.

Ayr United 1, Dumbarton 0

Ayr United got their first win of the season as Paul Maxwell's own goal was all that separated them and Dumbarton.

Maxwell's misfortune ten minutes before the break consigns Dumbarton to the foot of the table.
