Second Division: Peterhead sink to the bottom but Cooper keeps his cool

Peterhead manager Neale Cooper remained upbeat despute watching his side fall to the bottom of the table following their goalless draw with leaders Livingston.

Cooper said: "We may be at the foot of the table but we are playing some of the best stuff we have since I came here, so our day will come." Peterhead were denied a late penalty when Liam Fox appeared to handle. Livingston boss Gary Bollan was glad to be leaving with a point, saying: "It is a point gained not a point lost and we did ride our luck a wee bit."

Alloa boss Allan Maitland was delighted as his second-placed Wasps' blew Ayr United away 4-1 at Recreation Park.

Summer signing Jim Lister nodded Maitland's men into the lead on 16 minutes, however the Somerset Park side replied 11 minutes later when defender Chris Smith scored in similar fashion.
