Stuart Noble and Michael McGowan ended seven games without a win for Alloa.

Noble converted from close range in the first half and McGowan's second goal of the season in 72 minutes sealed the points.

Peterhead 1, Dumbarton 2

Dumbarton's good form continued as they won 2-1 at Peterhead.

Ryan McStay put the visitors ahead in the first half but they were pegged back just after the break by Stuart Smith. Jon McShane won it for Dumbarton with 12 minutes left.

East Fife 0, Brechin City 0

Neither East Fife nor Brechin could break the deadlock at New Bayview.

The talking point of the match came in 63 minutes when Brechin's Dougie Hill reacted to a challenge by Stevie Hislop and was sent off.
