Second Division: Livingston remain unbeaten after dour draw with East Fife

Livingston maintained their unbeaten start to the season and the lead at the top of the table, however it was a very flat performance at the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium as they drew 1-1 with East Fife.

Raffaele De Vita tried to lift things with a goal eight minutes into the second half when he shot underneath Michael Brown to open the scoring, however on-loan Hibs striker Kurtis Byrne took advantage of a mistake from home defender Michael O'Byrne to net with just over 20 minutes left.

Livi boss Gary Bollan said: "We were disappointing today. It was up to us to break East Fife down and we did not do it often enough. We have still not been beaten and are still three points ahead so I will have to settle for that."

Visiting manager Steve Crawford said: "A draw was a fair result, although we had a couple of openings that if we had taken we may just have snatched a win."

Brechin moved into second place with Callum Booth, David McKenna and Rory McAllister scoring in their 3-1 win at Dumbarton. Booth and McKenna had Jim Weir's side two up before half-time, with a triple substitution from home boss Jim Chapman inspiring his side to get a goal back through Derek Carcary with 17 minutes left.

Alloa spent a frustrating afternoon at Balmoor and just when they thought they could come home with a draw and put it behind them, the Blue Toon struck the only goal to grab their first win in the league.

Ryan McCann and Danny McKay's goals were enough for Ayr United to see off Stenhousemuir 2-0 at Somerset Park. McCann struck right on half time to open the scoring after a McKay shot had came back off a post. McKay then sealed things three minutes from time.

Airdrie United's youngsters grabbed a 2-1 win at Forfar where Ryan McCord and Ryan Wallace turned things around for the Diamonds after Michael Bolochoweckyj had opened the scoring following a mistake by visiting goalkeeper Mark Ridgers. Airdrie held on despite Ewan Grant's sending off
