Second Division: Dumbarton escape the drop after holding champions Livingston

East Fife could sneak into the play-offs through the back door after this win at New Bayview.

Ryan Wallace gave the home side the lead, before Matthew Park got the second. Kevin Motion pulled one back, but Scott Durie got the third.

Calum Smith put the hosts in front in 35 minutes, but got lucky when David Ross missed from the spot.

Dennis Wyness managed to get an equaliser in the second half, only for Barry Sellars to put Forfar back ahead. Scott Ross was sent off.

Livingston 1, Dumbarton 1

Dumbarton are officially safe after a fine 1-1 draw with champions Livingston. Pat Walker headed the visitors in front in the 42nd minute.

The Sons held that lead until ten minutes from time when Robbie Winters was able to equalise.

Stenhousemuir 1, Brechin City 3

A RORY McAllister hat-trick ended Brechin's run of seven games without a win against Stenhousemuir.

A McAllister penalty put Jim Weir's men ahead, but Mike Devlin equaliseed. McAllister got his second on half time and third on full time.

Ayr United 3, Airdrie United 1

Scott Morton had put the visitors ahead just after the break but Andy Rodgers equalised a minute later.

Rodgers got his second of the day from the spot on the hour mark and Michael Moffat completed the scoring.
