Scottish Cup: Huge shock as East Kilbride stun Premiership Forfarshire

EAST Kilbride pulled off one of the greatest-ever shocks in the Scottish Cup when the side just promoted to the SNCL Championship beat Premiership frontrunners Forfarshire by 90 runs at Torrance House.

Hari Singh emerged as the home hero with 102 as EK posted a target of 227 and the Taysiders were never in the hunt as they capitulated to 136 all out, Scotland spinner Ross Lyons taking four cheap wickets.

Holders Uddingston had Calum MacLeod to thank as they crushed SMRH by five wickets. MacLeod hit 76 not out, guiding Uddy to success with more than six overs to spare.

Edinburgh Accies swept aside Poloc with Dan Rixon, who took all ten scalps in the previous match against Gala, snapping up seven for 42.

Bon Accord's hopes of pulling off a major giant killing act against Grange were wrecked at Raeburn Place as the Aberdeen minnows were skittled for 105. Henry Edwards and Lega Siaka saw the hosts home by ten wickets.

Jamey Carruthers bagged three wickets and struck a fine 30 to help Ferguslie see off Dundee HSFP.

And Harry Cooray claimed four wickets for only six runs to propel Falkland to success at the expense of Glasgow Accies in Fife.

Greenock saw off West of Scotland and Kelburne progressed by dint of a walkover against Holy Cross.
