Scottish aim to build on victory over Moseley

London Scottish will aim to build on the momentum created by the 37–21 victory over Moseley last weekend, when they come up against last season’s relegated Premiership side Leeds Carnegie today.

This will be the Yorkshire side’s first visit to the Athletic Ground, and Scottish will be hoping to capitalise on Carnegie’s injury woes and capture another big scalp.

Following his excellent stand-in performance at centre, Oli Brown retains his place in the number 12 shirt. He is joined in the middle by Scottish internationalist Ben MacDougall, returning following a hamstring strain.

The pack remains the same as the one that faced up to Moseley, but there is space on the bench for flanker Ben Lonergan for the first time this season, as well as a return for experienced fly-half James Brown.

London Scottish sit in eighth place out of 12 in the Championship after five matches. An opening day 16-11 home win over Rotherham was followed by defeats away to Bristol, home to Cornish Pirates and away to Doncaster, before last week’s reversal in fortunes at home to Moseley. They also lost heavily at home to London Welsh in the British & Irish Cup.
