Scots pair in chase for title

Scots Kylie Walker and Vikki Laing were both in with a chance of claiming a first Ladies' European Tour title with a round to play in the Suzhou Taihu Ladies' Open in Shanghai, writes Elspeth Burnside. On four under par, they were tied for fourth place and just three behind leader Dewi-Claire Schreefel, from the Netherlands.

Walker, 24, from Buchanan Castle, had four birdies in a 70 as she chased the best result of her rookie season.

Laing, who has had two second places in her second season in Europe, had a hat-trick of birdies in a 71. The Musselburgh 29-year-old is the leading Scot in Europe with 100,000 in prize money and ninth place on the money list.
