Scots named for Budapest

A STRONG Scots contingent has been named in British Swimming's team for this summer's LEN European Championships.

Michael Jamieson confirmed his status as a bright new star of Scottish swimming when he won the 200m breaststroke at the British Swimming Championships in Sheffield in April.

The man he lost out to in the 100m breaststroke that week, fellow Scot Kris Gilchrist, is also named in the British line-up for the competition, which takes place in Budapest between August 9-15. Scots Robbie Renwick and defending 400m freestyle Commonwealth champion David Carry also make the team, as does medley and breaststroke specialist Hannah Miley.
