Scots find out venues for Q-School

SIXTEEN Scots are in the line-up for the second stage of the European Tour Qualifying School at four venues in Spain at the beginning of December.

Heading for Costa Ballena in Jerez are Jack Doherty, Graham Fox, Scott Henry, Paul McKechnie and Philip McLean, who has yet to relinquish his amateur status.

James White, this year’s Scottish Order of Merit winner, is in the same position and he’ll try and move a step closer to carving out a new career at El Valle in Murcia along with Callum Macaulay and Alan McLean.

Lloyd Saltman, Gavin Dear and Neil Fenwick are in the field at La Manga, while Las Colinas in Alicante is where Chris Kelly, Mark Kerr, Shaun McAllister, Kris Nicol and Elliot Saltman are all heading on 2-5 December.

Meanwhile, a number of Scots who fell at the first hurdle have entered next month’s Alps Tour Qualifying School in Italy.

They include Walker Cup man Michael Stewart and Scottish amateur champion David Law, though the latter could change his plans if he succeeds in getting an invitation for the Alfred Dunhill Championship in South Africa on 17-20 November.
