Scotland’s basketball students teach the Welsh a lesson

Scotland men’s basketballers got off to a great start on the first day of the British Universities 4 Nations Championships.

They defeated Wales 91-43
after being 51-21 up at half-time at Edinburgh University. Glasgow University’s Canadian forward Al Alilovic led the home scoring with 26 points. Fraser Glass (West of Scotland) added 17 from the point guard position and American centre Ryan Webb (Edinburgh) scored 15.

Scotland coach Danny Costello was able to rest most of his starting five players during the second half and they will certainly need their strength as England looked formidable in beating Northern Ireland 103-76.
