Scotland Under-20 coach Peter Wright hails back row

SCOTLAND Under-20 rugby coach Peter Wright has hailed the contribution of his all-Capital back row in last night's 8-8 draw with France in Inverness.

Skipper Stuart McInally of Watsonians earned the man of the match award, while Wright also praised flankers Michael Maltman of Heriot's and David Denton of Edinburgh Accies, although the coach saw the result as a missed opportunity to post the first ever win over France at Under 20 or 21 level.

France led 5-0 at the break through a try by Jeremy Sinzelle but Alex Black of Leeds touched down to square matters before Romain Barthelemy exchanged penalties with Alex Blair of Edinburgh Accies, who missed a late kick to snatch victory.
