RUGBY UNION supporters are being encouraged to come out and have their picture taken with the HSBC Sevens World Series trophy as it tours HSBC branches around Scotland – and two of the country’s legendary players will be accompanying it on its travels.

Gavin and Scott Hastings will be on hand as the tour starts on Monday 16 April, visiting Queens Road in Aberdeen and the High Street in Inverness before concluding on Tuesday 17 April by visiting Princes Street in Edinburgh and then Buchanan Street in Glasgow.

This is all part of the build-up to the eighth tournament of the HSBC Sevens World Series, the Emirates Airline Glasgow Sevens, which will be staged at Scotstoun Stadium in the city’s west end on 5-6 May and will feature 44 games from. 16 countries, including current World Series champions New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England, Fiji and Samoa. Meanwhile, Scottish Rugby has also teamed up with Bauer Media’s Clyde 1 and Forth One to give ten of their listeners a chance to win tickets to the event. Listeners will try and win tickets by taking part in a quiz competition with Forth One’s Grant Stott and Knoxy from Clyde 1.
