Scot Bain is edging ever closer to Asian Tour card

ASIAN Q-SCHOOL: ROSS Bain has an Asian Tour card in his grasp heading into the closing round of the qualifying school final in Thailand.

The Dubai-based Scot posted a one-under 71 at the Springfield Village course for a six-under 209 and shares 19th spot, with the top 40 after 72-holes gaining a place on the Asian circuit.

Bain ended round three seven shots behind Japan's Katsumune Imai, who eased to the front with a 67 for 202.

Bain's fellow Scot, Simon Dunn, slipped out of the qualifying places with a two-over 74 which dropped him down into a share of 45th on a two-under 213.

Lee Harper saw his hopes suffer a crippling blow after a 76 left him four shots outside the current qualifying zone on 216.
