School sport: Trio of sides head south for finals

GYMNASTICS: Three school teams have qualified for British finals from the Scottish heats.

Edinburgh's Craigmount High School will compete in the Carita House School national team finals on 12 March at Fenton Manor, Stoke on Trent.

The team, comprising Lucy Belcher, Erin Thomson, Nicola Hogg, Robyn Wilson, Katherine Myles and Simone Ballantyne, will be in the under-16 section.

Leven's Mountfleurie Primary, represented by Ashley Cameron, Ellie Baxter, Alex Rhinds, Hannah McDonald, Emma Gray and Abby Lloyd, are in the under-11 section at the British Floor & Vault Championships in May at the same location. Craigmount HS will be in the under-19 section with a team still to be finalised.
