Sauchie visit an Edinburgh toiling at home

Edinburgh UNITED face their toughest match of their South League campaign so far this season when they meet league leaders Sauchie at Paties Road tomorrow.

Edinburgh have a poor home league record with only a single win while Sauchie have a super away record with no losses, the main reason why they sit top of the table. Already there is a gap opening up between the top contenders and those in mid-table.

Meanwhile, Spartans, fresh from their two titanic Emirates Junior Cup battles against Ballingry - ultimately ending in a penalty shoot-out defeat - are at home to Fauldhouse, who sit just behind Sauchie. Spartans, though, have only played five league games this season and sit in a good position for a title push.

The only other game being played in the South League is between Haddington and West Calder.
