Sandy Clark still has a burning desire to manage again

Former Hearts manager Sandy Clark today revealed his desire to return to front-line management after five years as a coach and stressed he is willing to work at any level in Scottish football.

Clark, 53, is keen to become a manager in his own right after spells coaching Aberdeen and Kilmarnock under Jimmy Calderwood and Jimmy Nicholl. With Nicholl now managing Cowdenbeath, the triumvirate has been broken up and Clark is hopeful of securing a job by himself.

"I'm out of football at the moment but I'm really keen to get back involved and have a go again," he said. "My first choice would be in management again but I wouldn't rule out working with Jimmy Calderwood either. You have to be realistic and be prepared to look at anything, not just in the SPL."

Clark's last managerial post was at Berwick Rangers in season 2004-05. He also managed Partick Thistle, Hearts, Hamilton and St Johnstone.
