Something must give in Malleny Park clash

Two unbeaten teams are due to meet at Malleny Park this afternoon in the RBS Edinburgh Regional Cup when Currie take on Heriot’s.

So far in the event, Currie have won two from two and Heriot’s have won four from four, which sets up an intriguing clash this afternoon – provided the pitch is playable after the amount of rain that has fallen in
Edinburgh over the last week.

Both sides are without a few players due to the holiday period, but for the hosts that gives a number of youngsters a chance to impress head coach Ally Donaldson. Teenage centre Jack Broadley comes in to the starting XV, while Murray Johnstone is given his first start at scrum-half.
