Scottish Rugby announce Irn-Bru partnership

AG BARR, the makers of beloved soft drink Irn-Bru, have been announced as the new official soft drinks partner for Scottish Rugby.

The deal covers the Scotland national team, the rugby sevens team, Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby, with all four entities being supported by the manufacturers’ range of brands, which will be available to supporters attending matches at both Scotstoun and Murrayfield stadiums.

One brand owned by AG Barr is Strathmore water, which will be used to keep the players hydrated during games.

“We’re delighted to welcome A.G. Barr to our growing portfolio of commercial partners,” said SRU director Domininc McKay.

“Irn-Bru, in all its manifestations, is an iconic Scottish product, enjoyed by many, and there’s considerable synergy in its new relationship with Scottish Rugby.

“Irn-Bru is renowned for being a fantastic supporter of Scottish sport and for bringing its unique personality to everything it does. We’re looking forward to working together to take rugby to a new audience.”
