Scotland had to dig deep to secure a bonus point win against Fiji at Murrayfield as the replacements made all the difference in the second half.
Gregor Townsend’s side trailed 17-7 at half time but the introduction of key players like Sione Tuipulotu, Pierre Schoeman and Jamie Dobie from the bench helped them claw it back and ultimately win the Test reasonably comfortably. For long periods though, it was anything but and many of the players who featured in the first half failed to make the grade.
Here are our player ratings from Scotland’s Nations Championship win over the Flying Fijians at Murrayfield:

1. Rory Sutherland - 5
Carried well and put in a shift defensively in a tough first half. Scrum was solid. | SNS Group / SRU

2. Gregor Hiddleston - 7
Easily Scotland's most effective ball carrier in the first half by some way. Continues to impress at Test match level. | SNS Group

3. D'Arcy Rae - 4
Struggled to make ground as a carrying threat, like many others, but scrummaged well enough. | SNS Group

4. Jonny Gray - 5
Try was a high point in an otherwise forgettable first half as Fiji swallowed up the contact time and again. | SNS Group
