Scotland’s wait for a first win against the mighty All Blacks goes on following a 43-21 defeat at Murrayfield.
It was a breath-taking first half that saw hooker Ewan Ashman become the first Scot to score a hat-trick against New Zealand as the hosts trailed 24-21. However, the visitors ran away with it after the break and prevented Scotland adding any more points while racking them up themselves.
In the end, it was a performance with plenty of hard work and effort - but most players in blue were simply second best to their opposite man.
Following the defeat, this is how we rated the players from the Nations Championship November Test at Murrayfield:

13. Huw Jones - 6
Justified his selection with some bursting runs that caused havoc and gained Scotland so many meters. A big first half but was far more inconspicuous in the second. | Getty Images

14. Kyle Steyn - 4
Dropped a Russell pass at a key moment in the match that could have helped shift momentum. Shortly after he had it too easily ripped away following a kick chase. Some good moments in the first half but ultimately a rare poor performance in a Scotland jersey for the winger. | AFP via Getty Images

15. Kyle Rowe - 6
Great vision for the 50-22 early on that led to the maul try. Replaced after 52 minutes having not had as much of an impact on the game as he or many supporters would have hoped but still a solid outing. | AFP via Getty Images

16. Replacements - FORWARDS
Pierre Schoeman (32mins) - 3 - Destroyed in the scrum and couldn't make many yards with his carries due to rigid All Blacks defence. Gregor Hiddleston and Will Hurd (66mins) - both 3s - Game was pretty much gone by the time they entered the field but scrum did steady. Max Williamson (52mins) - 4 - Slotted into the second row well as Brown moved back. Josh Bayliss (62mins) - 4 - Brought good energy and carrying with his introduction. | SNS Group / SRU
