Edinburgh and Glasgow Warriors fixtures confirmed for 2026/27 URC season

The full fixture list for the 2026/27 BKT United Rugby Championship season has been released.

Glasgow Warriors, who will look to enter the next campaign as champions following the conclusion of this year’s play-offs, will start with a difficult away trip to Thomond Park to face Munster on Saturday, September 26. Edinburgh, whose season ended last week with defeat to Connacht, are also away on the opening weekend as they face Ulster at the Affidea Stadium on Friday, September 25.

Both of the Scottish clubs then have their first home fixtures the following weekend with Sean Everitt’s side again playing on the Friday night (October 2) with DHL Stormers the first visitors to the Hive. As for Franco Smith’s Warriors, it will be Ulster who travel to Scotstoun on the Saturday (October 3).

The first leg of the 1872 Cup contest between the rivals will be played at Murrayfield on Sunday, December 27. The second leg will then return to Hampden Park for the third successive year on Saturday, April 24.
