Morton 1 - 0 Queen of the South: Ross Forbes lifts Ton

Joe Thomson tested Derek Gaston in the home goal with an early header but chances were rare.
At the other end Forbes tried his luck but Morton’s dead-ball specialist was off-target with a 25-yard free-kick.

Morton, though, responded and Aidan Nesbitt almost gave them an interval lead with an angled drive which rose just too high.
Gaston denied Lyndon Dykes and Thomson in quick succession as Queens started the second half on top only to fall behind against the run of play.
It was a fine solo effort from Forbes who jinked in from the right before scoring from a tight angle.
The Doonhamers thought they were level five minutes later when Gaston could only parry Dobbie’s shot and Thomson bundled in the rebound only to spot a linesman flagging offside.
