Loretto School cruise to U18 Sevens title

Loretto School put paid to Boroughmuir High’s hopes of a school sporting double when they beat their Edinburgh opponents 46-19 in the final of the Under-18 East Lothian Rugby Sevens.

Boroughmuir High’s girls had won the Under-18 football Shield, and Jonathan Hewat, the director of external affairs at Loretto School, said: “This was a tremendous victory for the Loretto boys.

“The standard of rugby at the tournament was very  high indeed and we were delighted to win such a prestigious event.”
