The Fiji international will miss the Guinness PRO12 leaders’ games against fellow play-off hopefuls Munster and Leinster as well as a clash with bottom club Zebre.

Nakarawa escaped a red card for the incident, which happened during a scrum in Glasgow’s 19-16 weekend win over the Welsh side, but was punished by a PRO12 disciplinary committee.

The committee decided the offence was at the low end of World Rugby’s sanctions and removed a week from the minimum four-week ban because of the player’s disciplinary record.

The 27-year-old is suspended until March 29, but the punishment took account of two rest weeks for the RBS 6 Nations.
