The South African, who is married with a baby, has denied the charge and is due to attend a pre-trial hearing at the city’s sheriff court on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old prop, who weighs in at almost 19 stone, was a member of the Warriors squad that made history less than three months ago by becoming the first Scottish club to win the Pro12 League title.
De Klerk was signed by Glasgow coach Gregor Townsend last summer and a few days ago a club spokesman revealed that his contract - which had been due to run until next May - had been terminated early for personal reasons.
He previously played in his native country for the Blue Bulls and Free State Cheetahs.
De Klerk made an initial court appearance on July 14, when he denied a charged under the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010, which relates to stalking.
The offence, which is alleged to have happened in April at the club’s Scotstoun Stadium HQ, carries a maximum penalty of 12 months imprisonment.
No one from Glasgow Warriors was available for comment.
