Currie 35 - 8 Hawick: Fog can't conceal home side's class
The hosts dictated proceedings for the first half hour and reached the interval with a 14-3 lead. Charlie Shiel and Ratu Tagive bagged a try apiece and Jamie Forbes converted both, before Ali Weir clawed back three points with a late penalty as Hawick ended the half with a flourish.
Currie extended their lead shortly after the restart when Hamish Bain plunged over after another spell of pressure. Forbes again added the extras then did so again after Robbie Nelson had raced over for the bonus point score.

Both sides ended a man short after Currie’s Conor McEvoy was yellow-carded for a high tackle and Hawick’s Bruce Campbell went after an intervention by the assistant referee.
